The Season Will Pass – But So Will the Moments

The year is winding down, and the holiday season is speeding up. Calendars fill, to-do lists grow, expectations rise. But before we race through the last few months of the year, let’s pause and ask: what are we rushing toward? And what are we rushing past?

As a GiGi to two curious grandsons, I know how quickly time moves. Their wide-eyed wonder reminds me that the little moments – hands full of snacks, hearts full of wonder, and sticky hugs – are the ones that matter. When I was a single mother raising children, I didn’t understand how much I would miss the chaos, the noise, even the mess. I was too busy surviving to savor.

Now I see things differently. Was the stress worth it? Absolutely not. We carry so much on our shoulders during this season – family plans, social pressure, old wounds, and new demands. But the truth is: the holidays will pass. And so will the tiny, beautiful moments that make up our real life.

You don’t have to do it all. You don’t have to make it perfect. You don’t have to prove anything to anyone.

What if this season, you chose to:

  • Say no to something that drains you.
  • Say yes to something that restores you.
  • Be present for a moment that would otherwise fly by.

Your body knows when you’re pushing too hard. It sends signals: fatigue, tension, irritability, poor digestion, brain fog. At Curative Wellness, we help you listen to those signals. We believe your body has wisdom – and that wisdom is often asking for less, not more.

This November, we invite you to make presence your new norm. Slow down. Take a deep breath. Look your people in the eyes. Notice the way the soup smells or how the sunlight hits the kitchen floor.

Because this season will pass. But so will the moments.

Let’s make the ones that matter last.
